Formal Complaint Process

A formal complaint can be filed against a member of Equity for violating the Bylaws’ Standard of Professional Conduct – specifically engaging in the following types of inappropriate behaviour:

  • Abuse of Power
  • Discrimination
  • Harassment
  • Reprisal
  • Unprofessional Behaviour
  • Violence

 

Please read the relevant sections of Equity’s Bylaws and Complaint & Discipline Process Guide for definitions of inappropriate behaviour and to ensure you are aware of all details, time limits, and responsibilities when filing a formal complaint.

Remember, Equity has a responsibility to ensure a fair and unbiased process that respects the rights of both the complainant and respondent.
