eDrive Guidelines

Engagers must have an existing contractual relationship with Equity in order for audition notices to be posted. New engagers must contact a Business Representative prior to submitting an audition notice; failure to do so may result in the application deadline passing and the posting not being approved.

All submissions are reviewed prior to posting and may be edited or rejected at the discretion of the Communications and Business Representative departments.

All postings must be submitted through Equity’s online eDrive form. Submissions sent by email will not be accepted.

Character breakdowns

Audition notices can include descriptions of a character (e.g. age range, gender, ethno-cultural background), but must not include descriptions of the artist submitting for the role. The only exception to this rule is when seeking actors from underrepresented groups with relevant lived experience appropriate to the role.

Provide enough lead time

To provide artists with enough time to prepare and submit an application, eDrive posts must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the submission due date. Submissions with a notice period of less than one week will not be accepted.

eDrive posts may take up to 5 business days to be reviewed and posted.

Time permitting, Equity will contact an individual or engager if there is a question about an audition or work opportunity notice.

Review your submission

If your eDrive posting has been released, it is not possible to make revisions as it has now been emailed to thousands of eDrive subscribers.

If you recently made a submission and it has not yet been released, there may still be time for revisions. Email communications@caea.com with any edits as soon as possible.

eDrive submissions are automatically removed from Equity’s website once the submission deadline has passed.
